Getting to Lapland
By Air
Kittilä Airport (KTT) is the gateway to both Levi and Ylläs. Finnair and Norwegian operate year-round flights from Helsinki, with the flight taking around 1 hour 20 minutes. During winter, seasonal direct flights are available from several European cities. Levi is just 15 minutes from the airport; Ylläs is approximately 40 minutes.
By Train
The overnight train from Helsinki to Kolari is a quintessential Finnish experience. The journey takes around 12 hours and you arrive refreshed in the morning. Kolari station is 37 km from Ylläs. VR (Finnish Railways) operates daily services with sleeping compartments and car transport wagons.
By Car
Driving from Rovaniemi to Levi takes approximately 2.5 hours via the E75. Roads are well-maintained year-round, though winter driving requires studded tyres (included with all rental cars in Finland). The drive through snowy Lapland is spectacular — just allow extra time and drive to conditions.
Transfers
Airport shuttle services run between Kittilä Airport and both resorts during peak season. Taxis are available year-round and can be pre-booked. Car rental desks operate at Kittilä Airport from major providers including Hertz, Europcar, and Sixt. We can help arrange transfers for all our guests.
